Overview

Prepare for research positions and top doctoral programs in psychology

The competition for a spot in a top doctoral program or a research job in clinical psychology is fierce. That's why Fordham has developed a unique M.S. degree program in clinical research methods that will give students the competitive edge. This master's program provides an intensive research experience and a deep understanding of the core elements of graduate-level psychology.

Emphases

With a strong emphasis on research methodology, psychopathology, psychological statistics, and research ethics, program coursework will prepare students for future doctoral work or a nondoctoral research position. Students have the opportunity to conduct research with a faculty member or with one of Fordham's prestigious partner institutions, including Mount Sinai Medical Center, Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Full or Part-time

The 36-credit program has been designed as a two-year program for full-time students. Evening courses are available for part-time students. A background in psychology and prior research experience are not required.
