Focus of faculty research: Disease Ecology (Zoonotic diseases, Hantavirus ecology), Community Ecology (Temporal Niche Overlap, Metacommunity Theory), Mammal Ecology, Invasive Species; using modern statistical methods to monitor spatial and temporal alterations in wildlife population demographics; Behavioral Ecology, Sexual Selection in the context of speciation and predator-prey dynamics; understand how ecological processes and how they affect the structure and health of populations and communities in rivers.
