The Michael F. Price College of Business Offers Multiple Graduate Degrees at the Masters and PhD Level

MBA Programs

There are three MBA program options offered through Price College, each tailored to meet different student needs.

Full-Time MBA Program--This 16-month, campus-based program offers an immersive and high touch learning experience with close-knit cohorts of around 40. In addition to engaging class activities, Full-time MBA program's Summer Scholar opportunities, as well as collaboration with the Institute of French Petroleum and its Summer Scholars program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world exposure to their chosen field through financially supported global study experiences and internships. Elective certificates in Energy, Entrepreneurship, Digital Technologies, Finance, Healthcare Administration, and Media Management allow students to explore industries and business functions that interest them most.

Professional MBA--This evening based program is specifically designed for students who wish to work full-time while pursuing their MBA. This part-time program is campus based in Oklahoma City. The 37-hour program can be completed in as little as two years, however, the program's flexibility allows students up to five years to complete their MBA program requirements. This program utilizes the same OU faculty, resources, curriculum, and certificate options as the Full-time MBA program.

Executive MBA in Energy--This program is designed for energy industry executives. It is a 15-month, 36 credit-hour curriculum combining the unique industry knowledge and management principles of energy with the core knowledge of a traditional MBA. Courses are primarily offered online, with the exception of three weeklong classroom experiences. Two of the three weeks are in Norman, with the third offered at an international location to address the global nature of management in the business of energy.

Online Masters of Accountancy

Recognizing the need for accounting professionals to complete 150 hours (with 30 credit hours in graduate accounting) to sit for the CPA exam, the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma now offers its Master of Accountancy in an online format. This is the same program currently delivered on campus and producing an 74% pass rate on the CPA exam for first time test takers over the past 10 years. Only now, the program is easily accessible anywhere in the world.

Masters of Accountancy

This program designed to prepare students not only to pass the CPA exam1, but for positions of responsibility in the accounting profession. It combines a broad-based business curriculum with in-depth accounting training, affording students the opportunity to specialize in chosen areas of accounting practice (e.g., assurance services, financial reporting, and taxation).

MS in Management Information Technology

The Master of Science in Management Information Technology (MS-MIT) program, a STEM designated program, has an emphasis on Big Data, Analytics, and Cybersecurity equips students with technical and analytical skills, and business process knowledge necessary to help design and add value from Information Technology. The program does not require entering students to have undergraduate degrees in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business.

Dual Degree Programs

Dual Degree Master's programs allow students to pursue degrees simultaneously in two fields of study. To obtain a dual degree, the student must satisfy the admission, course, and examination requirements of both programs. To pursue the generic dual master's degree, the student must be admitted to both programs before 12 credit hours of program work have been completed in either program. Price offers an MBA/MS in MIT, MACC/MBA, MACC/MS in MIT, JD/MBA, MD/MBA, MBA/MHA, as well as accelerated BS in ISE/MBA and BS in PE/MBA, and Generic Dual Degrees of an MBA and MBA in another field (with approval).

PhD programs are offered in Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, Management and International Business, Marketing, and Management Information Technology.
