AIST Southeast Member Chapter Gene Suave Scholarship

Description

The scholarship will be awarded to a Southeast Chapter student pursuing a career in engineering, the sciences or other majors relating to iron and steel production, principally on the basis of SAT or ACT scores. Non first year students will be awarded on the basis of GPA from an accredited college or institution. If there are no applicants in engineering or the sciences, other majors will be considered. Consideration will be given for extracurricular activities and the student's written essay. This scholarship fund is for members of the Material Advantage program who live in, or attend a university in, the Southeast Member Chapter area, children, stepchildren, grandchildren or spouses of active (dues paid) Southeast Chapter members for two consecutive years. The student must be accepted in an eligible full or part time course of study at an accredited university or college.
