Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund Indigenous Careers Award

Description

The Indigenous Careers Award aims to encourage Indigenous peoples living in Alberta (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree, and bachelor's degree programs. To receive this award, students must also be enrolled in the fall and/or winter term (a term is defined as a study period of up to 17 weeks in length), and have at least 60 percent of a full course load (40 percent of a full course load if the student has a documented permanent disability). Applicants must contact the Student Awards or Scholarships Office at their school or visit their website for more information about the application process. Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada, or Protected Person under Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Visa students are not eligible.
