The American Legion Department of Maine Children and Youth Scholarships will be awarded to students who must demonstrate financial need. Deadline May 1 of each year. Applicants must submit three letters with their application: one from themselves; one from their principal or guidance counselor (other source if the applicant is no longer in high school); and one from an outside person, other than family. Applicants must also submit a transcript of their high school record or current college transcript.
