The AMWPA Merit Award Medical Students may be awarded to students who are in a Texas medical school, one award is reserved for an out of state medical student. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited medical school in the USA. The applicant's parents must not be physicians, exceptions will be made if parents never practiced as physicians.
