The WISE (Women in STEM Excel) Scholarship was created by Dr. Alexander Sobel to support, empower, and encourage women in Washington pursuing education in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics. Washingtonian women interested in a career in a STEM field are welcome to apply. Eligible STEM subjects include: Chemistry, Computer and Information Technology Science, Engineering, Healthcare/ Medical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Astronomy, Social Sciences, and STEM Education and Learning Research.
