The AOCS Honored Student Award encourages and recognizes graduate students doing research in one of the areas represented by AOCS Divisions. Recipients will receive a certificate and a travel allowance of up to a US $500 for U.S. and Canada residents; or up to a US $1,000 travel allowance for recipients residing outside of those countries. Applicants must have not begun a career in their chosen field by May 1 of the presentation year. Their research must comprise fats, oils and related fields and who have never received the Honored Student Award. A letter of support and Major Advisor Ranking Form from the major advisor are required. A detailed Curriculum Vitae which includes education, work and training experiences, awards, and a full list of publications and scientific/technical meeting presentations must also be submitted.
