The Armenian Relief Society Undergraduate Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student who completed at least one college semester at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States; or a student who must be enrolled in a two year college and is transferring to a four-year college or university as a full-time student in the Fall. Applicants must submit the first two pages of their parent's most recent income tax returns and the applicant's own most recent income tax returns. They must also submit two letters of recommendation: a letter from a college professor or advisor and a letter from an Armenian community leader or representative which attests to the applicant's activity or contributions to the Armenian Community. Scholarship grants are awarded on the basis of financial need, merit, and involvement in the Armenian Community. In determining recipients, ARS places points in all three areas; therefore, it is recommended that applicants share all pertinent information that will enable the ARS to fairly evaluate their application. Applications are for one year only. An individual who receives an award may apply for a second scholarship. There is no automatic renewal and applicants may only receive a total of two awards.
