Ascend St. Vrain Scholarship

Description

The Ascend St. Vrain Scholarship, funded by community members, provides multiple renewable awards to help reduce the financial burden of post-secondary education for students connected to the St. Vrain Valley School District or a BOCES program. Eligible applicants must either be current high school students within SVVSD or BOCES, or graduates from those institutions, and must demonstrate unmet financial need as determined by their college or trade schoolÔÇÖs financial aid office. Students must be planning to attend, or already enrolled in, a Colorado-based college or trade school. Awards typically range from $1,000 to $2,500 per eligible year, including a $2,500 renewable scholarship funded by the Braly Family Foundation with preference given to trade applicants. At least one scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a trade. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses, with disbursements split between semesters. Applications must include a transcript with fall grades, resume, financial information, short answer responses, recommendation letters, and a 2ÔÇô3 minute video submission.
