The Avie Teltschik Memorial Band Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Avie Teltschik, a popular award winning band director at Tivy High School for 24 years. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide educational funds to graduating Tivy High School band students. Applicants must be graduating from Tivy High School. Applicants must have been active in the Tivy High School band and should have demonstrated leadership in band, e.g., active in solo and ensemble contest and district band. Selection of recipients is based on excellence in band participation, financial need, and academic achievement. Recipients must be accepted in an accredited college, university or trade school before award decisions can be finalized. The scholarship award will be forfeited if not accepted by December 31st of the award year.
