Description

The Banneker/Key Scholarship is open to incoming UMD freshmen students who are registered for a minimum of 12 credits per semester, maintain a minimum of 3.20 cumulative GPA, and complete 30 credits per academic year. This scholarship covers up to the full cost of tuition, mandatory fees, housing, food, and a book allowance and includes admission to the Honors College. All freshman applicants who are admitted to the Honors College are considered for the Banneker/Key Scholarship. The Office of Student Financial Aid strongly recommends students complete the FAFSA if they have not already done so for the current academic year. Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
