Barbara F. Prowant Research Grant

Description

The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) has established the Barbara F. Prowant Nursing Research Grant to be given annually through the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA). This research grant is established to promote nursing research particularly in nephrology. The grant will fund qualified nephrology nursing research for ANNA full members, who are certified by the NNCC and are in graduate school. Projects eligible for funding are funding for pilot studies and partial funding for research projects, thesis, or dissertations. The principal investigator must be a full member of ANNA and be certified by the NNCC for the duration of the research project. Priority will be given to applications in which the principal investigator is a graduate student with this research as a part of the requirements for graduation with master's or Doctoral degree. Priority will be given to graduate students, however, if funds are available, the award may be granted to ANNA members who currently have a Master's degree. Applicants must be actively involved in nephrology nursing related health care services or education. The Project Proposal must include a cover letter; grant application cover sheet; copy of IRB approval for research studies or letter of support for other projects; grant application co-investigator/consultant/collaborator sheet; budget and budget justification; detailed timetable with information from the beginning to the end of the project; research grant application checklist, with checks indicating that the applicant has reviewed their proposal and all items requested on the checklist are included in the application; abstract; research or project plan; timeline for research/project completion; references; appendices; curriculum vitae or resume; personal research articles (if available); and the applicant's professional headshot. The First Proposal may be submitted on August 31, 2024. The Final Proposals must be submitted on November 15, 2024. Please visit the award's website for more information.
