The Botetourt-Roanoke Valley Scholarship Endowment is open to one or more undergraduate students from the Botetourt-Roanoke Valley area of Virginia. Students must demonstrate a record of quality leadership, as evidenced by active volunteer engagement, and such activities as religious, civic, government, and business endeavors (but, not including athletic-related activities). A demonstration of financial need shall not be required. Preferences shall guide the scholar selection process: First, students who are, or have been, members of the Church of the Transfiguration in Fincastle, Virginia; second, students who are residents of Botetourt County; third, students who are residents of the Greater Roanoke Valley (which includes the County and City of Roanoke and the surrounding environs); and fourth, students who are graduates of a Junior Achievement program.
