The Building Future Leaders Scholarship Program For Students of Military Families is for students who must be currently enrolled in a nationally or regionally-accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school and on a successful graduation track towards a vocational/technical, associates, bachelor's, or graduate degree. Applicants must have a parent with an honorable discharge and a DD-214 that served with the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, or in the National Guard or Reserve Component; or a parent currently serving with the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, or in the National Guard or Reserve Component. Applicants may submit a written essay or a video essay. Examples of community service, letters of recommendations or certificates from community groups, clubs, and charity organizations for who you have supported in the last two years must also be submitted. Special consideration will be given to students who demonstrate leadership or mentoring qualities through participation in extracurricular or civic activities in school or their communities.
