Cady McDonnell Memorial Scholarship

Description

Each year, through the National Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation (NSPSF), the Cady McDonnell Memorial scholarship is offered as funded by a variety of individuals, companies, and organizations to encourage and support college education in geospatial sciences. NSPS Student Membership ($10.00) is required. Open only to female students enrolled in a (2) two or (4) four-year surveying or related degree program and are legal residents of one of the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR UT, WA, and WY. Must Include proof of legal residency with the application. Application form for the membership can be accessed through the scholarship site. Attach the following to the application: Official copy of your previous years transcripts of grades from current of last school attended along with a copy of your Fall 2020 transcripts of grades. Three original letters of recommendation from individuals who are not related to the application. One must be from a faculty advisor. All must be in original form, and must be signed and addressed to the Scholarship Selection Committee at the address noted. A personal introductory letter addressed to the NSPS Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, not to exceed 850 words on a single-spaced paper, indicating why you chose your current field of study and any commitment to furthering your education beyond your current degree program. The letter should also include any involvement in community activities, extracurricular school activities, any awards and honors you have received, your career goals, any information on significant financial difficulties you are experiencing, and why you feel you should be selected to receive the scholarship. A copy of driver's license or other State-Issued ID (copies of both front and back). A copy of course syllabus or program course catalog showing specific course or subjects required by Scholarship.
