Chafee Education and Training Grant

Description

To be eligible, applicant must be currently in child welfare foster care, or had been in child welfare foster care for at least 180 days (six months) after your 14th birthday and exited substitute care at age 16 or older, or be a former foster youth who was adopted or entered into a guardianship on or after your 13th birthday, and your adoption/guardianship finalized after 9/1/2015. Young people through age 26 (up to 27th birthday) who experienced foster care when they were age 14 or older are eligible for Chafee ETV Grant funds. Even if they had to leave college due to COVID-19, they may still be eligible for funds. Kindly visit the award site for the remaining guidelines of the grant.
