Description

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America awards a scholarship to a current university student majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in a Texas college or university. To be eligible, applicant must be a high school graduate, must be a former active member, in good standing, of an affiliated chapter of the Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America for at least one year, and have completed one or more years of Family and Consumer Sciences in high school. Recipients must attend the Texas FCCLA State Leadership Conference held in the spring to accept their scholarship. In the event a recipient does not attend, the scholarship will be awarded to an alternative winner. Three letters of recommendation from non-family member are required. Applicant must include test scores of American College Testing (ACT) and/or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) upon submission.
