CME Group Foundation Scholars Program

Description

The CME Group Foundation Scholars Program will award renewable scholarships to students who are majoring in finance, information technology, computer science or applied mathematics who show financial need and are first-generation college students (the student's parents or guardians have not completed a 4-year college degree or higher), at 13 eligible partner schools in Illinois and New Jersey. Students at City Colleges of Chicago must currently be in their second year and planning to attend one of the approved four-year colleges listed above for their junior and senior years. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in one of the following approved majors: Accounting, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Math, Data Science, and Statistics. They must be willing to participate in a 15-30 minute virtual interview; and be willing to attend a mandatory one-day market education program at CME Group in Chicago in August 2026 to learn about the industry and summer internship opportunities. The use of AI to generate essays or for any part of the application is discouraged. Awards are renewable up to three additional years, or until a bachelor's degree (or 4 plus 1 combined undergraduate and master's degree program) is earned, whichever occurs first. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
