College Futures Monterey County Scholarship

Description

The College Futures Monterey County Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors at the following high schools: Alisal High School, Gonzales High School, Greenfield High School, King City High School, North Monterey County High School, Seaside High School, Soledad High School, Everett Alvarez High School, Salinas High School, North Salinas High School, Marina or Rancho San Juan. Up to $4,000 will be awarded to students for a 4-year university, and $1,500 for 2-year college. This is a one-year scholarship. Applicants must have completed applications for at least two colleges or universities. Applicants must be attending college with the goal of completing a Bachelor's degree. Applicants may attend a community college, but must do so with the goal of transferring on time to a four-year college to complete a Bachelor's degree. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must complete a short test. Applicants are required to score 80 percent or higher to be considered for the College Futures Monterey County Scholarships. The test can be retaken if needed. Preference will be given to students who are low-income, first in their family to attend college, and/or from underrepresented populations.
