Corliss Knapp Engle Scholarship in Horticulture

Description

Established to encourage the development of research, documentation, and teaching skills in the field of horticulture. Funds one or more scholarships annually at $3000 to support study at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum. Projects may include but are not restricted to plant propagation, photographic documentation of studies and research projects, the acquisition of skills for working with horticulture collections, and research in horticulture in the broadest sense. Open to college undergraduates and graduate students, advanced degree candidates, or non-degree-seeking applicants above the high school level. Eligibility is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S. - based institution. Those studying at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum. Please provide two letters of recommendation. One should include comments on your academic progress and achievement, personal qualities, and eligibility for the program you have selected. The other should include information on the program you have selected and assurance that you have applied and can be accepted. Electronic copies of the letters of recommendation should be attached below and must be signed by the individual writing the letter, or sent to us directly from their email. If reference desires to send directly to the GCA, please have s/he mail or email the letter to the addresses listed.
