The GEF Life Member Committee and Mrs. Sarah Duwell are proud to honor the memory of Life Member, Dan Duwell, by awarding the Dan Duwell P.E. Scholarship that will be presented to a student studying mechanical engineering. Scholarships are competitively awarded based on the student's demonstrated competence in academics, interest in developing a career in engineering, financial need, and school and community involvement. Application is open to incoming freshman, upperclassmen, and graduate students who are attending eligible engineering, engineering technology and construction management programs. Eligible programs include current ABET-accredited undergraduate and graduate engineering or engineering technology programs and ACCE accredited construction management programs. Three reference letters and SAT or ACT results are required for freshman applicants. Top ranked applicants are contacted and scheduled for interviews mid-to-end of September. Upperclassmen and graduate students are required to bring an official copy of their most current transcript to the interview. Only high school seniors who have been accepted to an ABET-accredited program in the fall are eligible to apply.
