Description

The Daniel K. and Millie Akaka Ohana Scholarship Fund is open to students who attend an accredited college. Applicants must demonstrate a substantial connection to Hawaii Demonstrate good character, including community service, leadership, and civic involvement. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year. Additional preferences will be given the following order of priority: students who major in Education, Environmental Studies, Healthcare related fields (i.e. medicine, nursing, healthcare administration) or Music; candidates with higher academic merit, including a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher; and students with a class standing as an undergraduate college sophomore or above.
