The Dave Nelsen Technician Scholarship will be awarded to technicians for qualifying education. Applicants must have sponsorship by a local OESP chapter. Applicants must have been working as a technician for a minimum of one year in the field of HVAC, propane or oil. Applicants must be working at a company with a membership in OESP. Applicants must present a detailed explanation of the class they wish to take and the benefits to them of the class, in their own words. The explanation must include a course description including the content and number of course hours. If the applicant will earn any certification, they must indicate that. If the applicant has it, they must send a copy of the course brochure. Applicants may apply up to two times. Applicants must apply for the scholarship at least two weeks before the start of the class.
