Each year ANNA recognizes and rewards outstanding achievement in areas such as clinical practice, education, management, quality care, research, and collaboration. The Nephrology Nurse Educator Award, sponsored by DaVita Inc., aims to recognize outstanding contributions to professional and/or patient education. Candidates for the award will be nominated. Candidates must be current full members of ANNA, having been a member for a minimum of the last 2 years as of the application deadline. Candidates must be actively involved in nephrology nursing related health care services and be active participants in ANNA at the local and/or national level. Outstanding contribution in nephrology education for professionals or patients and evidence of sharing educational expertise in nephrology either through presentations at ANNA meetings or publication in nephrology-related journals are also required.
