Description

The Doris Hardinger Roome Scholarship Fund was established in the memory of Doris Hardinger Roome, a longtime resident of Kailua. This scholarship was made to benefit students who participate in community service and show leadership abilities. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from a non-related teacher or community services member, speaking to the applicant's community service and/or leadership abilities. Preference will be given to applicants with strong community service experience. Preference is also for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year.
