The Dow Jones News Fund (DJNF) summer high school journalism workshops' program goal is to teach digitally savvy high school students how to report on, write about, and shine a light on inequities in the community. Potential themes may be the disproportionate rate of COVID-19 deaths and illnesses in communities of color; little or no access to educational technology and internet; increased homelessness as a result of the ensuing economic downturn. Additional required attachments include tentative workshop schedule, including guest speakers, examples of studentsÔÇÖ work from previous workshop (if applicable), and the proposed budgets revenue and expenses.
