Description

The Edgewood College Washburn Scholarship is named for Cadwallader C. Washburn, a successful businessman and Civil War Veteran, who served as Wisconsin's governor from 1872-1874. He enjoyed spending time on his lakeside property, Edgewood Villa. His donation of the estate to the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa led to the founding of Edgewood College. This scholarship is open to freshmen students.
