Description

The Sandy Ulm Scholarship Award is funded by membership dues. A portion of each member's dues, as specified by the FAME Board, is set aside to assist students interested in earning credits and/or a degree in Library Science or Educational Media. The amount of money awarded each year will be contingent on available funds and the number of applicants. Scholarship recipients will be approved by the Board prior to payment. Scholarship Award is open to individuals who are registered in a university certificate or Master's course of study in Library Science or Educational Media or related field as approved by the Scholarship Committee, who are or plan to be a school library media specialist, who sign the notarized statement that is part of the application form stating that he/she will "obtain Florida media specialist certification and serve in an educational media related position within the State of Florida for a minimum of one year following completion of his/her education, who are a member in good standing of FAME.
