First Marine Division Association Scholarship Fund

Description

OBJECTIVE: To assist dependents of deceased, Missing in Action, or 100% permanently disabled veterans of service with the First Marine Division in furthering their education toward a Bachelor's degree. ELIGIBILITY: Limited to dependents of honorably discharged veterans who are deceased from any cause OR Missing in Action OR totally and permanently disabled who served in a unit that was part of, attached to, or was operating in support of the First Marine Division. A beneficiary who marries before he or she completes the course OR fails to complete an academic year (for reasons other than scholastic) must reapply before benefits can be resumed. In order to verify the First Marine Division-related period of service of the deceased, Missing in Action, or 100% permanently disabled veteran sponsor, please complete the Standard Form 180 and mail directly to: National Personnel Records Center, GSA (Military Personnel Records), 9700 Page Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63131.
