The Fordham Presidential Scholarship is available to entering traditional first-year students who generally rank in the top 1 to 2 percent in their high school class. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of excellent academic achievement in high school, test scores (if submitted), and personal characteristics. The actual amount of the scholarship will equal the total tuition and fees, less any Federal Pell Grant, state assistance, and any other tuition-specific resources or scholarships. The scholarship will be adjusted for half of other non-tuition-specific outside resources or scholarships. Recipients are also eligible for a maximum of $20,000 over four years to use for academic enrichment experiences. For students living on campus, the Presidential Scholarship covers up to the average cost of a double room or actual charges and the average meal plan. Each year, the scholarship adjusts for any increases so that tuition, fees, average room charges, and average meal plan are fully covered. Students may visit the scholarship's website or contact Student Financial Services for more information.
