Frederick Carl Hawkins Endowed Educational Scholarship

Description

The Frederick Carl Hawkins Endowed Educational Scholarship was established for Kerr County students in memory of Freddie Hawkins, who devoted his life to youth through his summer camping profession as well as through volunteerism with youth in the Hill Country community. Applicants must be a student currently graduating from a high school in Kerr County: Center Point High School, Ingram High School, Our Lady of the Hills High School, Tivy High School, and Hill Country High School. Applicants should exemplify good character, integrity, responsibility, and leadership. Scholarship is paid out over two years; recipient must remain a full-time student and should maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must provide two letters of reference from non-family members. Selection is based on academic and extracurricular achievement, community service, and financial need.
