Furniture Workers Willie Rudd Scholarship

The IUE-CWA presents the Furniture Workers Willie Rudd Scholarship. Requirements include an essay of no less than 300 and no more than 500 words, which includes all of the following; name, information on the student's community involvement/volunteer work, the student's career goals and aspirations and the essay prompt. If the student in interested in a field related to organized labor, please note that as well. The essay must be proofread and edited and saved as an M.S. Word document titled firstname_lastname.doc (fill in the applicants first and last names) and uploaded to the website with the application. If the essay is received in any other format, the essay will be rejected. Winners are required to provide an electronic photograph of themselves for publication in the IUE News before a check can be issued. The applicant must be accepted for admission or already enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university, nursing or technical school offering college credit courses. All study must be completed at the undergraduate level. Checks will be sent directly to the accredited school.
