George E. Watters Memorial Scholarship

Description

The George E. Watters Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a worthy student enrolled in a civil engineering program. Applicants must reside in New England or attend a college or university in New England to qualify. A student New England Water Works Association membership is encouraged, but not required. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted; one must be from a teacher or professor and the second may be from a teacher or professor, or professional reference such as an employer. Applicants must also submit a copy of FAFSA confirmation and a statement of financial need. The NEWWA Scholarship Committee considers applications on the basis of merit, character, and need, with preference given to applicants whose programs are considered by the Scholarship Committee as beneficial to water works practice in New England.
