The Gertrude L. Briggs, CPA Memorial Scholarship is funded by the proceeds from the MassCPAs Women's Golf Outing and demonstrates the profession's commitment to supporting leaders through the accounting pipeline. Applicants must be a graduate student, or an undergraduate student who has completed at least the first semester of her sophomore year; and have the intention to pursue an accounting career in Massachusetts. Applicants may be attending a college or university in Massachusetts or attending a college or university out-of-state with a permanent address in Massachusetts. They must submit a recommendation from an accounting professor or high school teacher, academic advisor or job supervisor. Applicants must also submit an essay or a 2-3 minute video in which they describe what has shaped their decision to pursue a career in accounting.
