The GYO Paraprofessional Teaching Fellows is open to students from one of the districts in Virginia. This award supports part-time students who are interested in earning a Bachelor of Individualized Study in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or Elementary Education and become credentialed teachers. This should be considered a future loan forgiveness program instead of a traditional scholarship. Funding is established with recurring legislative appropriations in the biennium budget from the Virginia General Assembly, which is subject to change.
