This grant provides research funds to postdoctoral students who have at least one year of promising work experience, and have no more than five years of getting their PhD degree, are undertaking research in selected areas of insect control, and have demonstrated a high level of scholarship. A nominee must be a postdoctoral scholar, working in insect control by attractants, repellents, biological controls, thermocontrols, or chemical controls. Second priority will be given to those candidates working in insect control of medical or veterinary importance. If there is no suitable candidate in these categories, candidates working in physiology or toxicology may be considered. Nominations may be made by anyone. The nomination package must include the candidate's CV which includes the candidate's Background Information, Research, Teaching and Mentoring, Extension/Outreach, and Service information. Two letters of nomination/recommendation, one from a major professor and one from a previous instructor are required. Official graduate-level and postgraduate transcripts must also be submitted.
