Description

The Hixson Award helps incoming freshmen who are Kansas residents facing major personal and financial hardships come to KU. Awards are renewable for four years. Hixson Scholars engage in advising, tutoring, workshops, and peer mentoring. Freshmen scholarship recipients take a course together in the Fall semester. The program offers the opportunity to become part of a deep and engaged network of current scholars and alumni who provide insight, friendship and opportunities to one another.
