Home Building Foundation - Gary E. Milgard High School Scholarship

Description

The Home Building Foundation ÔÇô Gary E. Milgard High School Scholarship supports graduating seniors, including GED and home-schooled students, from high schools in Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington, or Yamhill County. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and plan to pursue a major in architecture, construction, engineering (civil, electrical, industrial, or mechanical), interior design/architecture, or landscape architecture. Eligible students may attend any U.S. Title IV-eligible, nonprofit 2- or 4-year college, with preference given to Oregon public and nonprofit institutions. Recipients must enroll at least half time and submit a FAFSA; financial need may or may not be considered. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, contingent on meeting renewal requirements. Applicants must also submit a 350ÔÇô500 word essay describing a challenge, person, or unique experience that shaped their interest in home building or construction. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
