Description

The IRSS Donald E. Gardner Inhalation Toxicology Education Award will be used to provide stipends to early career scientists to either gain specialized training in novel/emerging inhalation toxicology methodologies by training in another laboratory, attendance at a workshop/class, or training at a core facility; or to develop educational webinars on innovative methods in the fields of Inhalation and Respiratory Toxicology that will be presented to the IRSS. Applicants must be a member of SOT (any category of membership is acceptable). They must be enrolled in a graduate program relevant to inhalation toxicology or within 10 years of receiving advanced degree in a field relevant to respiratory/inhalation toxicology. Clarity and thoroughness of application describing either the specialized training that they will undertake in the science of inhalation and respiratory toxicology, how this training is innovative, how the recipient intends to use the knowledge gained to advance the science of inhalation toxicology, and details on the training opportunity; or the webinar(s) that will be developed, why the topic(s) are valuable/innovative in inhalation/respiratory toxicology, who the target audience includes, and where the webinar will be presented (including but not limited to IRSS).
