The Javus B. Fortmann Scholarship was established in honor of Javus Fortmann's dedication to a career in education. She was a leader and educator in the public school system for decades and wanted to inspire others to follow her lead in public school administration and education. Applicants may be a graduating high school senior in Arizona or an undergraduate and graduate student. They must pursue a course of study in education or early childhood education.
