The Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship honors sportscaster Jim McKay and was established in 2009. The Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in sports television. National scholarships are awarded to outstanding high school seniors who intend to pursue a baccalaureate degree in communications with emphasis on any aspect of the television industry.
