The Joan Aidem Scholarship Fund was created in 2018 to support Molokai students. The donor requires the applicants to be a resident of Molokai, intend to major in Science, and attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university in the US. Preferences, in order of priority, will be given to (1) employee, employee dependent or volunteer of the Nature Conservancy of Molokai majoring in natural science, including biology, botany, chemistry, microbiology, mathematics, physics, astronomy, information and computer sciences, marine biology, and natural science; (2) employee, employee dependent or volunteer of the Nature Conservancy of Molokai majoring in a field of science; and (3) students majoring in a natural science.
