The Joanne E. Prien Scholarship has been established in memory of Joanne Frances (Eppard) Prien by her husband John D. Prien, Jr., PE, JD, a Life Member of GEF, to preserve her long standing desire to aid the education of young people. Georgia Engineering Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to freshmen, upperclassmen, and graduate students who are attending eligible engineering, engineering technology, and construction management programs. High school seniors who have been accepted to an ABET accredited program in the fall are eligible to apply. Eligible programs include current ABET-accredited undergraduate and graduate engineering/engineering technology programs and ACCE-accredited construction management programs. All scholarships are competitively awarded based on the student's demonstrated competence in academics, interest in developing a career in engineering, financial need, and school and community involvement. Applicants must submit three reference letters. Entering freshmen should note that SAT or ACT scores are required to be identified as part of their application.
