The late Ingunn Gillis made a gift to the Canada Iceland Foundation to set up the John Jonas Gillis Memorial Scholarship in memory of her son. Applicants should submit a general request, allowing the committee to consider each submission for any Foundation scholarship which is applicable. Priority may be given to first-time applicants. Two references from persons other than family members must be submitted, one of whom must be from someone with a teaching background. References may be submitted separately.
