Description

The Kanawha Valley Mining Institute, Inc. Scholarship will be awarded to students in any college or university. Applicants must graduate from a high school in one of the following counties: Boone, Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Putnam and Raleigh. Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science Degree Program in one of the following disciplines at an accredited institution located in the United States: Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Industrial Engineering. Students may renew the scholarship three times in the three following calendar years. If the student fails to qualify for any one year, they may subsequently re-qualify for the remaining original term of the award, but may not re-qualify for the second time if they fail to maintain qualifications for a second time. Applicants must submit their most recent grades. They do not have to be the official transcripts.
