Kanawha Valley Mining Institute, Inc. Scholarship

Description

The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation offers the Kanawha Valley Mining Institute, Inc. scholarship to assist students pursuing a post-secondary education. Specific preference to graduate from a high school in one of the following counties: Boone, Clay,Fayette, Kanawha, Putnam and Raleigh. Student may renew scholarship three times in the three following calendar years by maintaining full-time student status with a minimum of 2.7 GPA. If student fails to qualify for any one year, he/she may subsequently requalify for the remaining original term of the award, but may not re-qualify for the second time if he/she fails to maintain qualifications for a second time.) Must be enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science Degree Program in one of the following disciplines at an accredited institution located in the United States: a. Mining Engineering, b. Civil Engineering, c. Mechanical Engineering, d. Electrical Engineering, e. Environmental Engineering, f. Industrial Engineering g. Geotechnical Engineering, h. Safety Engineering. If you have not applied for the FAFSA by February 15, 2021 and want to apply for a TGKVF Scholarship, you may upload a separate sheet of paper ( in place of the original FAFSA report), indicating that you will be applying for the FAFSA and will send the FAFSA report to shoover@tgkvf.org as soon as you receive it.
