The Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship Program was established to support and assist spouses, children,and grandchildren of blind and low vision veterans. Successful applicants for the scholarships have demonstrated excellence in their past academic work and promising potential for achievement in higher education pursuits. The recipientÔÇÖs spouse, parent,or grandparent is not required to be a member of the Blinded Veterans Association to be eligible for the scholarship. Three reference letters are required. One letter of academic reference related to your academic achievements, and two letters of personal reference in which the authors must identify the relationship with you. All reference letters must be typed, and must be postmarked to BVA. Applicants must provide written proof of veteran or active-duty service member eligibility. Proof may be a written statement from a certifying VA provider.
