Ken Yamase Sportsmanship Scholarship Fund

Description

The Ken Yamase Sportsmanship Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Ken Yamase and perpetuate his legacy of fair play, integrity, respect and sportsmanship. The donor requires students to attend an accredited, two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories). The donor also requires students to be senior athletes at Waiakea High School who participated in BIIF (Big Island Interscholastic Federation) sport(s). If there are no applicants who meet this criteria, then the applicant may be a senior athlete from any other public high school except for charter schools, that is part of the BIIF. Applicants must demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout their BIIF participation.
