Description

The LaVerne Bun" Young Memorial Scholarship was established by Davis Young in memory of his wife. LaVerne joined ESA in 1959 and was a 40-year member of Alpha Lambda Chapter of ESA. She was a strong supporter of her chapter as well as many levels of ESA. Both LaVerne and Davis grew up in Southeo pursue a dream in tern Oregon. Their mothers, Alta and Nell, were both teachers. With their interest in education, an endowment enabling Oregon students who wish taching, nursing, or any medical profession was a fitting memorial to LaVerne.
